Welcome to Shadow Oaks Recreation Association, a cherished haven since 1964. As a distinguished private recreation club, we have been cultivating timeless memories and fostering a sense of belonging for generations. Nestled in 2.5 acres of greenery, our maintained grounds offer a serene escape for our members. Dive into the refreshing waters of our  pool, or introduce your little ones to the joy of splashing in the dedicated baby pool. Our playground echoes with laughter, providing a space for children to run and make lifelong friends. The sizzle of grills beckons families for cookouts, creating a delicious backdrop to shared moments. For those with a passion for hoops, our basketball courts invite friendly competition and spirited games. At Shadow Oaks, we are not just a recreation association; we are a Spring Branch tradition, a home away from home, and destination for shared experiences that define our community spirit.

We are a 501(c)7 volunteer run organization.

Bridge Bats

SORA began a partnership with Bridge Bats swim club in 2020. Bridge Bats is a competitive swim league who uses SORA facilities for practice. This engaging partnership has enabled the addition for heaters in SORA's pool and offers swimming classes.

SORA began a long term partnership with the Albion Hurricanes in 2014. This has proven to be a wonderful partnership so far, with Albion overhauling the old SORA tennis courts into a top-knotch Futsal court! In addition, Albion invested a significant amount into upgrades of the fencing and facilities, including adding external entrances to the restrooms.
